I am an epiphytic plant and I look very much like deer or elk antlers, hence my name.
Platycerium bifurcatum, more commonly called the Staghorn Fern, has deeply lobed fronds that are reminiscent of deer antlers that grow in haphazard directions. Staghorn Ferns are best mounted to wood and hung from the wall, or placed in decorative containers and displayed on tabletops.
I prefer medium to bright indirect light, however, I do not do well in low light.
Water me liberally in summer, in winter much less. Keep me moist, but not soggy.
Feed me once a month in spring and summer.
Keep me away from dry air and draughts.
I like occasional misting.
