Ficus Lyrata
With my beautiful, large violin-shaped leaves I will be a standout piece in your house.
Description
We don’t believe in plants being fashionable – they’re all classics – but the fiddle-leaf fig is definitely having ‘a moment’. Its huge, fiddle-shaped leaves (hence the name) and the fact it can grow over six-feet tall means it has maximum impact in any room.
Plant Care
Light | I like bright rooms but keep me out of the direct sunshine. |
---|---|
Water | From Spring to Autumn water when the top soil has dried out, in winter water sparingly. |
Food | Feed me once a month in spring and summer. |
Climate | I like misting every few weeks in the warmer months; I get chilly in the cold so try and keep the temperature above 18°C. |
Other | Wiping my leaves will help to keep my pores open; replace top soil annually. |
